I've been talking with my co workers about the blog and films in general. I was surprised that none of them have seen Oldboy. This is a dark film, one that stays with you after watching it. A friend and I went to go see this at the theatre when it came out. I'm ashamed to admit this but we ended up going to see that Jimmy fallon movie about the Redsox right after this to sort of cleanse the palate. I highly suggest going into this film blind. The more you know about it the less you will get out of the experience. I'm going to give you the basic plot so if you do not want even that avoid the next few sentences. This is basically the first 15 min of the film so its not giving away much.
A man is abducted from a police station and is imprisoned for 15 years. He is released and gets a phone call saying" I'm the one who held you captive. You have 5 days to find me."
Ok after that revelation about watching Fever Pitch, I have to get a little man credit back.
Check out Undisputed 3. It is a totally adrenaline, masculine, not for you ladies (as the Dr. Pepper commercial goes) action film. No plot, no story, just a bunch of prison dudes fight till the last one standing.
Both are available on Netflix sadly not in streaming but DVD.
