For the opening night gala one of the films being shown is Kon-Tiki. I first saw a preview for this on Apple's trailer site. Kon-Tiki tells the story of Thor Heyerdahl, played by Pal Sverre Hagan, an explorer and ethnographer. Thor builds a balsa wood raft and sets sail across the Pacific to prove his theory that Polynesia was settled by South Americans.
